I ordered it to save money on expensive VGA cable and I made the right choice. After I connected the CAT5 cable to it, my NVIDIA software automatically detected it. It works like a charm and it's easy to setup.

I needed a way to extend my video so that I could put my computer out of sight in the closet. My computer is now 30 feet away from my monitor. The extender is able to send a 1680x1050 resolution perfectly without any reduction in quality. Amazon also sells this very cheaply - this product was more than double the price (~$85) at a nearby store.

The product works as advertised. I'm running it on an older EDTV at 480p and 800x600 resolutions. Some odd resolutions such as 848x468 (a resolution my Nvidia card tried to use) did cause some glitches to appear on the screen. It seems that you need to stick with normal HDTV resolutions. The caveats are that this product will not work correctly
